Hrkalo Radivoje, also known as Kontravolt, is a DJ and a producer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was born in Sarajevo in 1991, but due the war, he was forced to move with his family to this small north-eastern town in 1995, called Bijeljina.
His DJ carrier officially began at the age of 19 when his sets started broadcasting on a most popular Bosnian radio Bobar on Fridays. To him, techno is a OST for his life and a film directed by his personality.
There’s more to a mix than who played and how good they were, the crowd, the venue, the overall mood, that all-important thing we refer to as “the vibe” these are just some of the factors that make a set truly memorable. His main attributes are simplicity, efficiency with cinematic soundscapes and intricate sound design that goes hand-in-hand.
