Cocoon have released a video compiled of footage of the club spanning its entire 18 years of action at Amnesia in Ibiza.
A snapshot of the party’s finest moments, and a log of Sven’s almost as famous haircuts over the years, it includes footage from the party’s opening in 1999, a young Ricardo Villalobos beginning his residency on the Terrace, Richie Hawtin with a skinhead, and Sven attempting to scratch a record with his foot while standing on Amnesia’s main room turntables.
A long line of Sven’s biggest stars including Marco Carola, Luciano, Loco Dice, Adam Beyer and Carl Cox also appear. Just as noteworthy are the tunes on the soundtrack which serve as a marker for how the club’s sound has evolved over time.
