Italian DJ and producer Joseph Capriati has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed by his father.
As reported by La Repubblica, the 33-year-old is being treated for his injuries, which are reportedly “life-threatening”, at Sant’Anna e San Sebastiano hospital in Caserta, Italy.
Reports suggest that an argument broke out last night (8 January) between the father and son which also involved other family members.
This led to the father allegedly grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing Capriati in his chest. The weapon was later confiscated by police.
Capriati, who usually lives in Spain, was back in Italy after returning to his parents’ home in Caserta due to the pandemic.
Capriati is thought to be in a stable condition now after fellow DJ, Adam Beyer, posted a picture on Instagram to update fans.
He wrote: “My brother, I can’t believe [sic] the news today and I don’t want it to be true. I can’t imagine what you are going through right now but I’m relived to hear that you are in stable condition.
“I send you all my love and strength. Can’t wait to see you soon again mate.“
