Beatport will sell off their Sounds business to Loopmasters, while also investing in the company

Beatport and Loopmasters have entered a new partnership. Beatport has sold off its Sounds business to Loopmasters, while also taking a strategic investment in Loopmasters.

Launched in 2003, Loopmasters has become a leading online store for sample packs and plugins. It has also recently launched a cloud-based subscription service Loopcloud, now in its 3.0 stage, so people can pay a monthly fee for a full compliment of loops. They also have Plugin Boutique as a digital store for plugins.

We are thrilled to integrate the Loopmasters product suite into the Beatport site, enhance our sound library with their licensed sounds catalogue and gain access to the amazing artist and label relationships they have cultivated over the last 15 years,” Loopmasters’ founder and CEO Matt Pelling said in a statement.

Over the next year, Beatport will integrate Loopcloud’s suite into their website. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed according to Beatport.
