Beatport has launched the next edition of its Beats In School mentorship program

Beatport, a division of LiveStyle Inc., announced the next season of the Beats In School mentorship program, which will deliver all-new opportunities for its alumni in 2019.

Beatport has launched a contest that grants producers the chance to be mentored by top record labels like mau5trap, Hospital RecordsDirtybird and Second State.

For the upcoming 2019 season, the year-long initiative will pick four winners who will receive direct A&R from the top label ambassadors of these four esteemed imprints, career guidance from industry experts, support from Beatport’s wide network of partners and a coveted prize package featuring industry standard gear.

Beatport Chief Product Officer, Terry Weerasinghe commented, “Independent record labels are the heartbeat of electronic music, breaking fresh talent every year. The labels involved in this year’s Beats In School have helped launch the careers of artists like Fisher, Rezz, Amelie Lens and Unglued. Beats In School is the program that gives artists the chance to be next year’s big thing – I can’t wait to see who the labels choose!”

The program will be accepting entries from November 12 until December 7 at beatsinschool.beatport.com. The mentorship program will begin in January 2019 for this season’s chosen talent.
