Another year is coming to a close — and most of you know what that means. While the time has come for yearly music recaps and top tracks and albums of the year, iconic trance titan Armin van Buuren, has unveiled another pristine year mix. The A State of Trance Year Mix 2018, coming in at two hours, is chock-full of festival and mash-up edits of the year’s biggest and best in trance and progressive.
In keeping with ASOT Year Mix tradition, van Buuren begins with a humorous intro before whisking listeners into a state of trance with an opening track from Omnia, “Cyberpunk.” An eclectic mix of trance and its many sub-genres, Armin takes listeners on another journey, celebrating the year in music. Inclusions from Armada Music mainstays and other top artists within the scene, Armin highlights some of his favorites from 2018 — and of course, some of his very own releases from the year.
