Insomnia strikes Perla Beach
Josh Wink, Sven Vath, John Digweed and more will play the party series on the Black Sea this summer.
Starting at the end of next month, Bulgarian promoter Metropolis Music will host a series of open air parties called Insomnia, bringing five big names in house and techno to the south coast of the Black Sea.
The string of events kicks off next week with Nick Warren, a veteran of the UK club scene whose career spans back to 1988, acid house's "summer of love." Progressive house icon John Digweed will headline the next party, joined by fellow Bedrock artist Guy J. On August 12th, the series will get its dose of minimal and tech house, as Cocoon boss Sven Vath takes the helm. Ovum founder Josh Wink brings the series to a close the following week.

The summer 2010 will be characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep. For the first time in their history, METROPOLIS - the pioneers of the electronic music scene in Bulgaria, organizes a month of open air parties on one of the most beautiful and unspoiled by civilization beaches on the Bulgarian Black sea South coast.
The series of events come together under the name INSOMNIA and will happen on the virgin sands of Perla Beach around the town of Primorsko. This unaffected by the years area used to be owned by the mythical Bulgarian communist leader Todor Jivkov. His personal residence, build on the coast and resembling a white bird, alight on the beach, now will host the names of Nick Warren, John Digweed, Guy J, Sven Vath, Josh Wink and many more.
