Paul Van Dyk and Armin van Buuren join forces

In this troubling time of economic uncertainty when labels and clubs are folding before our eyes it makes sense for those players still in the game to fortify their lines wherever possible. As such, today sees a big announcement from the trance realm with news emerging that Paul Van Dyk would be uniting his storied VANDIT imprint with that of Armada Music, the beloved label co-started by none other than Armin van Buuren.
The news was released overnight from PVD’s camp in a message to fans, declaring the trance don’s grand plans to bolster VANDIT’s release scope with the help of Armada as the label reaches its 10th anniversary this year.
“Two power houses of electronic music join forces. The symbiosis of creative power, expertise and market impact by VANDIT and Armada Music will set a new milestone in electronic music,” PVD postulated in the press release before handing things over to Maykel Piron of Armada Music, who explained that he and the Armada crew were wrapped with bringing VANDIT into the fold. “For 10 years, VANDIT has been releasing high quality music. It’s a great honour to continue building up this fantastic brand together with Paul and his team.”
The ITM forums have already opened discussion about what the merger of sorts will mean for the individual identities of both labels, but the message to fans asserts that they’ll be very much the same as ever, only now with the added firepower of both brands together.
“With a burgeoning release schedule for 2010 and 2011 already in place, the Berlin-based VANDIT team will remain responsible for the label’s A&R and artist development, as both entities prepare to take the imprint into the next decade…100 VANDIT releases and more than 200 tracks of the VANDIT Digital sub-label back catalogue will be exploited by Armada Music. Fans of the VANDIT sound have more than plenty of good stuff to look forward to.”
Now guys, give us what we really want. Dualling Jesus poses!
