Kramnik - Mix of the Week
This week we choose to present you a DJ/Producer known as Kramnik.
Kramnik began promoting and booking acts under Static Sound System (SSS) at the famed 19th Century Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. It was here he inherited an insatiable thirst for story telling, accredited from being a frequent bystander to DJ’s such as John Digweed and Kevin Saunderson. A quiet study of their iconic mixing techniques and crowd manipulation gave further ambition to his tireless quest of “perfection” – already surpassed in the eyes of David Atkinson over at M-Audio.
After posting his first free public ‘Zen Zong’ 90-min album/mix back in June 2009, a press snowstorm ensued. With the mix featured live on Total Kiss FM it quickly garnered worldwide plaudits and clinched an acclaimed “Top Pick” from DJ Mag. Then came the 90 minute ‘K Song’…
As a man of such talent, maturity and discipline to his cause, we can only speculate the heights of success lying in wait. One thing’s for sure; an artist so versatile and diligent like Kramnik will be keeping everyone on their toes so far as until he acknowledges satisfaction. Kramnik is not for the first time on Insomniafm, he was invited some months back on Insomniafm Podcast 026.
