Bedrock International SW4 2012
John Digweed’s Bedrock returns to SW4 this summer to host an arena bursting at the seams with talent. In honour of the namesake label, John has been an irrepressible force in London this year. Setting things up perfectly for SW4, his monthly XOYO residency has rekindled that classic Thursday night slot, with capacity crowds filling one of London’s most forward thinking venues. Bedrock has alwaystranslated well to the great outdoors and this summer will be no different with John featuring alongside the best in underground house and techno DJs.
With a philosophy which continually pushes the boundaries, John Digweed embodies South West Four. 2012 will be his seventh consecutive SW4 gig, more than any other artist. Hence responsible for providing a plethora of memories, with 2009 the most poignant. A back to back set with Sasha brought sumptuous sounds and a sea of smiling faces. A trait also attributed to his mighty Bedrock imprint, providing tunes that have defined a generation. Already in the pantheon of electronic artists, John Digweed will elevate SW4 2012 to stratospheric heights.

Joris Voorn a prolific producer who always strives to engulf the senses, Joris is celebrated for his ever evolving ethos, which has helped craft a lasting legacy. Voorn’s legendary ‘Balance 014’ compilation eloquently combined 100 tracks into a double CD and demonstrates the rare talent responsible for securing headline slots at Space Ibiza and Awakenings.
Guy Gerber the guy people always look to for pure electronic sounds. An unconventional, ‘anything goes’ policy is testament to his releases on Bedrock and Cocoon. Caressing an emotive response from those who fall subject to his spell, Gerber is a gargantuan, driving force to be reckoned with.
Âme best known for their anthem ‘Rej’, Âme’s unwavering underground ethos is adhered to through the mystical workings of their Innervision imprint. In 2012 Âme celebrates their illustrious ten year history, marked by the forthcoming ‘Live’ album. Hearing it live is a must for all SW4 attendees.
Robert Babicz another of Germany’s electronic craftsmen set to bring a unique outlook to SW4 is Robert Babicz. Hence why each performance is so personalised, the ‘Babiczstyle’ label set up with having no specific music policy. Every show witnesses an awesome on-the-fly sonic manipulation, utilising Robert’s extensive background in sound engineering.
Laura Jones exploded into the public consciousness last year with her deep and intrinsically melodic vision of house. This multi-faceted lady of sound holds her own against the house heavy weights at any club or festival, which is why we can’t wait to hear her entertain you in the sunshine at SW4.
jozif is a name that has been gaining huge attention recently, following outstanding releases on Wolf+Lamb, Vitalik and Crosstown Rebels. This is reinforced by his monthly residency at John Digweed’s Bedrock escapade at XOYO, providing excellent support to the seminal mid-week affair. As a London boy himself he is perfectly suited to deliver a sterling set at SW4.
