Time Warp 2012: enough techno?
After farewelling the Likes Of You tent at the final Future Music Festival stop in Perth this March, Sven Vath, Dubfire and Jamie Jones will be headed to Mannheim in southern Germany for the 18th edition of evergreen techno marathon Time Warp. With jaw-dropping line-ups expected each year, organisers have spared no expense for the festivities on Saturday 31 March.
Alongside the aforementioned names – it wouldn’t be Time Warp without Sven – there’s a dizzying cast of DJs and live acts to take things through till Sunday afternoon. On the live front, there’s the likes of Laurent Garnier’s L.B.S., Extrawelt, Guti and Paul Ritch.
The DJ line-up runs deep from veterans Carl Cox, John Digweed and Kevin Saunderson to techno untouchables Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann to names of the moment. So if you’re a techno tragic with a few grand burning a hole in your pocket, may we suggest you put Mannheim on your map?
