Biography
Pribu Bogdan Alexandru aka Dj Butoane started to play music under the name Dj Butoane name inspired from his fatal attraction for the musical buttons. His contact with electronic music dates back to 2004. In 2007 he started to seriously mix the grooves and being doing it ever since. He played at a couple of parties, most of them organized by friends.
His influence in electronic music comes from artists like Digweed, Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Seb Fontaine, Luke fair when it comes to club music but also experimentalists as Moby, Groove Armada, Mylo, New Order or Crystal Method.
In all this time his style suffered some changes influenced of course also by the evolution of the electronic music. A connection was bound between him and progressive house, which evolved with time into a style characterized by progressive tech blended with hypnotic techno sometimes deep otherwise dub.
He is always happy to play anything that catches his ears considering it as a challenge everytime and giving it his best. He featured twice at Frisky Radio, first as a Guest Mix and second within the pale of the Frisky Loves Romania organized show.
About 2 years ago he started radio show "Illegal Grooves" and was promoted by romanian radios, now he is presented exclusively on Insomniafm.
