Romina Tamai
Biography
Romina Sol Tamai was born on April 13, 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During her childhood, she was musically influenced by her father’s tastes and her mother, being a music teacher.
A big fan of the ’80s, Romina began to broaden her musical horizons until she discovered the electronic genre. She experienced d&b, electro and many other tendencies to finally stick to the one she likes the most: progressive. Therefore, when she was about to turn 18, being influenced by renowned artists such as Martin Garcia, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Tarkan, Guille Quero among others, Romina began taking lessons with Ramiro Romero and playing music in small parties.
Later, she would start with her Music Production classes at Sonica, ending these at her 20’s.
By that time, she would have finished two tracks, Glass Zoo and Abbey, which later in time, would be released by Bit Records Mexico.
Nowadays she has her own radioshow on Dance Radio, and has played on others like Frisky Radio, Radio Deepsounds, Tribal Mixes, Pure.fm, etc..
Also her tracks are supported by Gerardo Boscarino, Alejo Gonzalez, Frangellico, Fernando Ferreyra, Redloft, Michael Zola along others and luckily, for the rest of the year, Romina is working on new presentations in radios and parties, as well as remixes and the production of new material.
Show on Insomniafm: Smooth Melody / Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 20:00 GMT+2.
